UD Faculty's Auction!


An online benefit auction for Dillard University was set up by English Professor Ben Yagoda with help from the Office of Public Relations. The auction provides the opportunity to bid on unusual and unique items donated by the University of Delaware faculty. The auction deadline has been extended until December 2nd- this Friday! For more information regarding this auction, visit UDaily.

Pumpkin Carving to raise $ for Katrina


UD’s Art Conservation Club, made up of 50 undergraduate art conservation majors, hosted a pumpkin-carving contest on Sunday, Oct. 30.

All proceeds were donated by the club to historic preservation in New Orleans because alum Lenora Costa, AS ’05, lives near the French Quarter in New Orleans and reported on the needs there.

Softball Tourney raised fund for Katrina!

UD’s Panhellenic Conference and the Interfraternity Council (IFC) held their first annual Greek softball tournament, “Pitch-in for Katrina,” on Sunday, Oct. 23, to raise money for victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Eight sororities and six fraternities participated in the event and raised more than $1,500 for the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Katrina Fund.

UD Volleyballs raises fund during its season


The UD Volleyball team has joined the relief effort by getting sponsors to donate 10 cents per point scored each game of the season.

30 bands raised $16,500!

Wave of Relief Concert series in Newark, DE raised over $16,000. From September 17 through October 28th 30 different local bands played at the different bars and restaurants on Main Street. Hope you were able to attend!

Greeks raise $1,276 for Katrina relief

Kappa Alpha Theta sorority raised $1,276.30 for Hurricane Katrina. How? By doing a fund-raiser at Main Street's popular Lettuc Feed You. 20% of proceeds from the days sales went to help out the victims.
